Stanford Women's Rugby is a club sport, and we accept everyone who wants to play. Rugby can be played by people of all body types and athletic abilities, and therefore we're looking for all different kinds of people to join the team. We've had people from all different athletic backgrounds; no matter where you're at we'll help you learn the skills you need to have fun playing. Joining rugby at Stanford also means you'll be a part of one of the most successful women's collegiate teams in the country over the past several years; we've won the national championship in women's collegiate rugby two out of the past three years. But don't worry, we'll teach you everything you need to know. There's no prior experience necessary; right now we only have one girl who had ever played rugby before coming to Stanford! |
How to get involved:
- Catch us at the activities fair in White Plaza on Friday, September 26 from noon to 4pm.
- Come to our barbeque on Friday, October 3, at 5pm at the rugby stadium (free food!)
- Come to the first practice on Tuesday, October 7, from 4-6pm at the rugby stadium.
- Look out for our flyers in your dorm and around campus.
- Email our recruitment chairs, Mara and Emily, or our rookie moms, Aly and Aliy. They can help with any questions you have, or get you signed up for the rookie email list!
